Full Tummy Tuck (hospital overnight):  $9,100 (includes nursing visit after hospital discharge)

Tummy Tuck Surgery

The majority of patients seeking tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty) are healthy and physically active but nonetheless have excess skin on the lower abdomen. This is a particularly common problem for females after childbirth or for those who have lost a significant amount of weight.

Tummy tuck surgery is best performed on people who have a healthy weight or are only modestly overweight. It is not recommended as a weight loss procedure in very overweight patients due to the increased risk of complications.

During your consultation, Dr. Andrade will ask about your specific abdominal concerns, including any past abdominal surgery. The physical examination is very important and will include examining your abdomen for overall skin quality and the amount of excess adipose tissue, location of pre-existing scars, hernias and loose abdominal muscles. Photos will be taken so the preoperative and postoperative appearance can be compared.

Dr. Andrade never performs a “virtual consult” since a proper examination is an essential part of the consultation.  Similarly he performs the majority of the consultation himself (some surgeons rely on non-medical “cosmetic consultants” for this important role.

Our Patient Care Approach

The York Plastic Surgery Centre employs a highly skilled surgical team including fully credentialed anaesthesiologists who all work at Southlake Hospital.  The evening after surgery, Dr. Andrade personally calls all of his patients and a nurse will follow up the next business day.  Dr. Andrade sees all of his patients personally at their post op appointments at the clinic ensuring the highest standard of post op patient care.
