Description
This 42 year old patient underwent breast augmentation elsewhere 15 years ago, using round saline implants. Over time there was natural sagging of the breasts so she decided to have a breast lift to improve the contour.
The patient had large breasts (D-cup) so we decided to remove as much skin as possible, plus exchange the old implants for new ones of the same type and volume (375cc on the right and 400cc on the left).
This type of augment-mastopexy results in a scar around the nipple, a vertical scar on the lower part of the breast, and a scar along the lower breast fold (the scars on the lower breast form the shape of an inverted “T”).
The photos were taken 6 months after surgery, and the scars should continue to fade for at least 12 months postoperatively.
