Description
Excess upper arm skin and fatty tissue can occur with age or following weight loss. The procedure to remove the excess tissue is called a brachioplasty.
Dr. Andrade uses a combination of liposuction and skin excision to improve the appearance of the upper arm. The resulting scars are located on the inner, posterior part of the arm to make them less apparent. Patients are able to use their arms for light activities within a few days of the operation, although full activities and heavy lifting should be avoided for 6 weeks.
