Mommy Makeover typically refers to cosmetic surgery on the breasts and abdomen done at the same time, since these are the areas most commonly affecting moms after pregnancy and childbirth.
Typical changes to the breasts after pregnancy include smaller breast size, less upper breast fullness, loose skin, and drooping of the nipples.
The abdomen may develop loose or bulging muscles (called a rectus diastasis), an umbilical hernia which presents as a bulge around the belly button, loose skin, or stubborn fat deposits that will not resolve. The surgical solution is customized to each patient. Procedures that improve the abdominal appearance include revision of C-section scars, mini tummy tuck, full abdominoplasty with rectus muscle plication, or liposuction of the tummy or love handles.

Since mommy makeover operations are longer and more extensive than individual procedures, many patients will have the procedure in hospital combined with an overnight stay. However, less invasive procedures (such as mini tummy tuck plus breast augmentation) can often be done in Dr. Andrade’s private surgical facility, The York Plastic Surgery Centre.

For patients who book breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Andrade, we offer patients an additional implant sizing visit to try on sizers. We want you to be confident in the final decision you make.
Dr. Andrade is an experienced, highly trained board certified Plastic Surgeon (MD, PhD, FRCSC). He completed 17 years of premedical and medical training at the University of Toronto and has been in practice since 2005 with a specific focus on breast and body surgeries. Dr. Andrade is an Assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and has been involved in the inspection of other plastic surgery clinics since the inception of the Out of Hospital Premises Inspection Program.
Conveniently located off highway 404 in Newmarket Ontario, The York Plastic Surgery Centre is a cosmetic surgical to facility that meets CPSO regulatory standards of safety, technology and patient care. Dr. Andrade is a trusted member of the healthcare community. Also, all of the medical staff that work at the facility include board certified anesthesiologists and fully credentialed OR nurses. Operations performed at the facility are done on an out-patient basis with in home nursing care as needed. Patients requiring more complex surgeries stay overnight at the hospital.
