Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Prior to surgery, this patient’s nipples were at the lowest point on the breast mound. This is called “stage III ptosis”. The nipples also appeared to be too close together, and pointing inward. An anchor scar breast lift was done (rather than a vertical lift) because it is possible to more extensively reshape the breast mound with this procedure. Notice that the nipples are not only higher on the breast mound but their position is improved as well. The photos were taken approximately 3 months after surgery so the scars are still pink and immature. Scar appearance usually improves for at least a year after surgery.
